Recommendation: The Cultural Arts Commission met on May 15, 2019 and by a unanimous vote have made the following recommendations to the Town Council for consideration:
• Peter Bosman, Reappointment, Town Resident
• Janice Farringer, Reappointment, Town Resident
• Mary Norkus, Reappointment, Carrboro Resident
Special Request(s): No Comment.
Background: After considering the excellent service of the expiring term members and reviewing the new applications, the Commission voted unanimously to recommend that Mary Norkus, Peter Bosman, and Janice Farringer be re-appointed by Council to serve additional terms.
Note: Communications and Public Affairs notes that the Cultural Arts Commission reviewed the following applications: Caroline Barnes, Deborah Bender, Peter Bosman, Jackson Bradford, Elizabeth Ellestad, Nathaniel Elliott, Janice Farringer, Michelle Kelts, Marrion Meyer-robboy, Cat Moleski, Rebecca Mormino, Amanda Murray, Mary Norkus, Ryan Phillips, William Rigby, Andrew Ross, Saijun Xue, and Deborah Zionts. No additional applications have been received between May 15, 2019 and June 19, 2019 for the Cultural Arts Commission.
