Overview: The plan for the Weavers Grove Development includes a proposed realignment of Ginger Road. The realignment involves closing a portion of the existing public right-of-way (ROW) and dedicating new ROW.

North Carolina General Statute (NCGS) Sec. 160A-299 sets the process for closing public ROW, requiring the Council to adopt a resolution declaring its intent to close the public ROW and to call a public hearing.? The resolution will be published once a week for four successive weeks before the hearing.? A notice of the closing and public hearing will be posted in at least two places along the ROW.

That the Council adopt the resolution to call a Public Hearing to consider closing a portion of the public ROW to support the realignment of Ginger Road within the Weavers Grove Development on January 11, 2023.
