FROM: Council Committee: OWASA Interviews
(Council Members Gu, Parker, and Stegman)

SUBJECT: Recommendation for the vacancy(s)

DATE: April 30, 2021


RECOMMENDATION: The Council Committee: OWASA Interview met on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Noon to 1:10 PM and by a unanimous vote made the following recommendation(s) to the Town Council for consideration:

* Todd Bendor, Appointment Town Resident
* David Gorelick, Appointment Town Resident

SPECIAL REQUEST(s): The Committee recommends the Council appoint Messrs. Bendor and Gorelick. However, the Committee reiterates its concern with the lack of diversity on the Board, despite Council members recruitment efforts. If Council members know of an applicant, then the Committee can interview such an individual and would recommend deferring Mr. Gorelick's appointment. If the Council does not believe that a more diverse individual can be identified in a timely manner, then the Committee recommends the Council appoint Mr. Gorelick at this time, as he provides a younger perspective.
