Overview: In April of 2017, the Council initiated the LUMO Rewrite Project. This Project includes an update to Chapel Hill 2020 with a refinement of the Land Use Plan, which is underway.

Recommendation(s): |
That the Council receive an update on the Charting Our Future Project (Project).
Key Issues:
• Should the areas receiving increased focus, as part of the refinement of the Future Land Use Map, be expanded?
Fiscal Impact/Resources: Funding for the Land Use Management Ordinance Rewrite Project is estimated at $830,000. This amount will be divided over the project schedule of three fiscal year budgets. The first allocation was in the FY 18 budget and 90% of those funds have been expended due to funding the Project consultant contract and paying the cost of a full-time employee.
