SUBJECT: Recommendation for the vacancy(s)

RECOMMENDATION: The Council Committee for Board of Adjustment met on Thursday May 18, 2023 and by a unanimous vote made the following recommendation(s) to the Town Council for consideration:
• Thomas Wortman, Reappointment, Town Resident
• Janice Owens, Appointment, County ETJ
SPECIAL REQUEST(s): None
BACKGROUND: Thomas Wortman, the committee would love to see him continue the amazing job he does with the board. Janice Owens, she will bring diverse and inclusion to the board she has also served with the Orange County Cable TV Board.
Note: Communications and Public Affairs notes that the Board of Adjustment reviewed the following applications: Scott Badesch, Janice Owens, Eric Plow, and Thomas Wortman. No additional applications were received between May 18, 2023 and Wednesday May 31, 2023 for the Board of Adjustment.

RECOMMENDATION: The Board of Adjustment met on Thursday, June 1, 2023, and by a unanimous vote made the following recommendation(s) to the Town Council for consideration:
• Thomas Wortman, reappointment, Town Resident
• Janice Owens, appointment, County Resident - ETJ
BACKGROUND: Thomas Wortman has been a valued member of the Board of Adjustment during his first term. His continued service on the Board will be a major asset.
Janice Owens has a set of professional and volunteer experiences that suggest that she will be able to well and faithfully serve on the Board of Adjustment.
