The FY 2022-23 Manager’s Recommended Budget attempts to balance the Town’s wants and needs with the revenues on hand.  The budget continues to restore funding needed to continue to deliver high-quality core services to the Town’s residents, businesses, and visitors.  The budget also supports the Council’s strategic goal areas from climate change, affordable housing & homeless initiatives, social equity, downtown improvements, and addresses critical workforce needs.

The proposed tax rate of 51.9 cents per $100 assessed valuation was recommended, which was 0.5 cents increase for the Transit Fund to help address capital and operating needs.

At the May 11th budget work session, Council expressed an interest in increasing the proposed tax rate by an additional 0.3 cents for the Transit Fund bringing the new tax rate to 52.2 cents.  We will return to Council at the May 18th public hearing to receive additional feedback from Council the community.
