SUBJECT:                     Recommendation for the vacancy(s)

RECOMMENDATION: The Council Committee: Historic District Commission Interviews met on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 1:30 to 3 PM and by a unanimous vote made the following recommendation(s) to the Town Council for consideration:

 

                     Nancy McCormick Reappointment, Town Resident

                     David Schwartz Reappointment, Town Resident

                     Brian Daniels, Appointment Town Resident  

                     Chris Berndt, Appointment Town Resident  

 

SPECIAL REQUEST(s):  No Comment.

 

BACKGROUND: The Committee supports Historic District Commission’s recommendations.  Ms. McCormick and Mr. Schwartz have served the Commission well.  Mr. Daniels is a longtime intermittent resident, who has lived in a historic home in a different community.  He has extensive non-profit board experience.  Ms. Berndt has extensive prior service on Chapel Hill advisory boards and in the community.  She has strong interests in preservation issues.

 

 

Note: Communications and Public Affairs notes that the Council Committee: Historic District Commission Interviews reviewed the following applications: Chris Berndt, Brian Daniels, Nancy McCormick, David Schwartz and John Sweet.                      David Schwartz, Reappointment, Town Resident and ETJ members

                     Nancy McCormick, Reappointment, Town Resident and ETJ members

                     Christine Berndt, Appointment, Town Resident and ETJ members

                     Brian Daniels, Appointment, Town Resident and ETJ members

 

 

NOTE:  David Schwartz abstained/recused himself on is reappointment, so the vote was 6-0.
