Overview: The Town Charter <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=SUA_CH_CHIIIMACO_S3.3RESPEMME> and the Town Code <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=CO_CH2AD_ARTIINGE_S2-3REMECO> state that the Council shall fix suitable times for its regular meetings. Adopting the calendar establishes Regular meetings, Work Sessions and other meetings.

Recommendation(s):

That the Council adopt the attached resolution establishing the Council calendar through December 2020.

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A CALENDAR OF COUNCIL MEETINGS THROUGH DECEMBER 2019 (2020-06-24/R-6)

WHEREAS, the Town Charter <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=SUA_CH_CHIIIMACO_S3.3RESPEMME> and the Town Code <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=CO_CH2AD_ARTIINGE_S2-3REMECO> state that the Council shall fix suitable times for its regular meetings.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council adopt the following meeting schedule for July through December of 2020.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council adopts a meeting schedule to hold special meetings in a virtual environment through September 9, its first regular meeting. This extends the provisions in (2020-05-20/R-7).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council will conduct the remote meetings as described in Resolution (2020-04-22/R-7).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council anticipates resuming its regular meetings when conditions allow.
