Review and Discuss the Draft Affordable Housing Preservation Strategy

Overview: The loss of affordable housing in Chapel Hill is one of the largest housing issues the Town faces. The goal of the Affordable Housing Preservation Strategy is to create a plan to preserve existing naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH) and non-permanently affordable subsidized affordable housing. Combating the loss of affordable housing serves to assist Council in achieving its goal of creating a place for everyone by adopting and supporting affordable housing programs.
The Housing Advisory Board will review and provide initial feedback on the Draft Affordable Housing Preservation Strategy.
Timeline
• Draft strategy created in May 2019
• Gain feedback from HAB in June 2019
• Bring to Council for review in fall 2019
