Recommendation(s):
That the Council make two appointments to the Parks, Greenways and Recreation Commission for the two Town Resident seats. The Commission will consider applications for the newly created Cemeteries Champion seat at an upcoming meeting.

FROM: Wesley McMahon, Chair, Parks, Greenways, and Recreation Commission

SUBJECT: Recommendations for Two Commission Vacancies

DATE: December 4, 2018

RECOMMENDATION: The Parks, Greenways, and Recreation Commission met on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 and by a unanimous vote of 6-0 have made the following recommendations to the Town Council for consideration:
* Lydia Kivihya-ndugga, Appointment, Regular Seat
* Renuka Soll, Appointment, Regular Seat

SPECIAL REQUESTS: The seat recommended for Renuka Soll has been held by Christopher Daley who was appointed in June 2018. Mr. Daley attended a portion of the August 2018 meeting, but has not attended a meeting since that time. He has missed three consecutive meetings without informing the Commission or staff that he would not be in attendance. Both the Chair and staff have tried to communicate with Mr. Daley, but have not been successful.
