Overview: The Council adopted its 2018-19 meeting calendar on June 13, 2018. This action amends the Council calendar to incorporate the Special Meetings for the Legislative Breakfast, Assembly of Governments, a closed session regarding a personnel matter, and Joint Meeting with the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. The Council’s Retreat will also be rescheduled.

A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COUNCIL’S 2018-19 MEETING CALENDAR (2018-12-05/R-4)
WHEREAS, on June 13, 2018 the Council adopted its 2018-19 meeting calendar; and
WHEREAS, the Council holds a yearly meeting with the State Legislative representatives from Orange County; and
WHEREAS, the Special Meeting for the Council Retreat on February 8 and 9, 2019 needs to be rescheduled; and
WHEREAS, with the rescheduled Council Retreat and Assembly of Governments meeting being scheduled to late January, it is anticipated that the January 23 meeting will be cancelled, unless there is a need to adjust one of the January meetings due to weather conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly of Governments has been rescheduled for January 29, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council is responsible for conducting an ongoing performance evaluation process for the position of Town Manager; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners and the Town Council hold a yearly joint meeting that has been scheduled for March 21, 2019; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council amends its 2018-19 meeting calendar to add the following special meetings:
• January 7, 2019 for a Legislative Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in Library Meeting Room A at the Chapel Hill Public Library
• January 25 and 26 for a Council Retreat with February 22 and 23 reserved for a weather makeup day. A time and location will be provided on the Town’s web calendar.
• January 29, 2019 for an Assembly of Governments meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Whitted Building, 300 West Tryon Street, Hillsborough
• February 13, 2019 for a closed session to discuss a personnel matter at 5:00 p.m. in the First Floor Conference Room at Town Hall.
• March 21, 2019 for a Joint Meeting with the Orange County Board of County Commissioners at 7:00 p.m. in the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council amends its 2018-19 meeting calendar to remove the following meetings:
• February 8 and 9, 2019 Council Retreat
• February 27, 2019 Business Meeting
• May 29, 2019 Budget Work Session
