Recommendation(s):

That the Council make appointments to the Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board for one (1) Residential Property Owner and two (2) Commercial Property members, effective July 1, 2018.

SUBJECT: Recommendations for the Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board vacancies

RECOMMENDATION: The Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board met on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 and by unanimous votes have made the following recommendations to the Town Council for consideration:

 

• Chad Pickens, Reappointment, Commercial Property member

 

• Mary Stowe, Reappointment, Commercial Property member

 

• Shugong Wang, Appointment, Residential Property Owner

 

 

SPECIAL REQUEST(S): N/A

 

 

BACKGROUND: Mr. Pickens and Ms. Stowe are active business community members and are strong advocates for stormwater education and outreach. Their experience and continuity as Board members are valued assets to the Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board.

 

Mr. Wang’s education and work experience make him an excellent candidate to the Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board. Mr. Wang attended the April meeting to introduce himself to the Board members. In addition to using his expertise, he is interested in giving back to his community.

 

 

Note: Communications and Public Affairs notes that the Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board reviewed the following applications: Chad Pickens, Mary Stowe, and Shugong Wang. No additional applications were received between May 22, 2018 and June 4, 2018.
