That the Council make appointments to the Housing Advisory Board for one (1) Homeowner or Tenant seat, one (1) Affordable Housing Advocate seat, one (1) For-Profit Developer Seat, and one (1) Real Estate Broker seat, effective immediately.

SUBJECT: Recommendation for the Housing Advisory Board vacancies

DATE: January 9, 2018

Recommendation: The Housing Advisory Board met on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 and by a unanimous vote has made the following recommendation to the Town Council for consideration:

* Jim Yamin, Appointment, For-Profit Developer

The Housing Advisory Board met again on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 and by a unanimous vote has made the following recommendations to the Town Council for consideration:

* Natalie Lakas, Appointment, Homeowner or Tenant
* Stephen Whitlow, Appointment, Affordable Housing Advocate

Special Request(s): No Comment

Background: Mr. Whitlow applied for the Housing Advisory Board position of Housing, Planning or Public Policy Expert; however, as that position is currently filled, staff contacted Mr. Whitlow and confirmed the he would be willing to serve in the Affordable Housing Advocate position.

Note: Communications and Public Affairs notes that the Housing Advisory Board reviewed the following applications: Letitia Davison, Susan Humbert, Natalie Lakas, Stephen Whitlow, and Jim Yamin. One additional application from Anne Hoole was received ...
