Overview: The Council called public hearings on January 17, 2018.  That meeting was cancelled due to inclement weather.  By default, those hearings are deferred to January 24, 2018. Due to the expected length of the agenda on that night, the public hearings for the sale of real property at 127 West Rosemary and a Request to Close a Portion of Public Right-Of-Way on Flemington Road between Maxwell Road and Brandon Road will be continued to the January 31, 2018 meeting.

 

Recommendation(s):

That the Council adopt a resolution continuing the public hearings to January 31, 2018.

A RESOLUTION TO CONTINUE THE PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY AT 127 WEST ROSEMARY STREET PURSUANT TO AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AND A REQUEST TO CLOSE A PORTION OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY ON FLEMINGTON ROAD BETWEEN MAXWELL ROAD AND BRANDON ROAD TO JANUARY 31, 2018 (2018-01-24/R-9)

 

WHEREAS, the Council called a public hearing to receive comment on the proposed conveyance and Agreement for a Town-owned property at 127 West Rosemary Street on January 17, 2018; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council called a public hearing to receive comment on a Request to Close a Portion of Public Right-Of-Way on Flemington Road between Maxwell Road and Brandon Road on January 17, 2018; and

 

WHEREAS, the January 17, 2018 meeting was canceled due to inclement weather. By default, those hearings are deferred to January 24, 2018. Due to the expected length of the agenda on that night the items will be continued; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council continue the public hearings for the Sale of Real Property at 127 West Rosemary Street Pursuant to an Economic Development Agreement and a Request to Close a Portion of Public Right-Of-Way on Flemington Road between Maxwell Road and Brandon Road to the January 31,2018 Business Meeting.
