Staff recommends that Council adopt the resolution authorizing the placement of signage recognizing Bill and Peggy Britt on the Community Center Building at Cedar Falls Park and on markers along the extensions to the Campus Recreation Trial and the Pritchard Branch Trail.

ACTION/DECISION POINTS*
Council is asked to approve or reject the naming of the Community Center Building at Cedar Falls Park as the “Bill and Peggy Britt Building,” and to authorize the installation of permanent markers on greenways constructed or improved with funds from the Bill & Peggy Britt Foundation, Inc.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT*
This item is brought before Council following the recommendation of the Council Naming Committee and in recognition of a generous donation from the Bill & Peggy Britt Foundation, Inc., which enables the Town to construct and upfit the Community Center Building and extend local greenways.
The Bill & Peggy Britt Foundation, Inc. has provided funding for the planning, design, construction, and upfit of a Community Center Building at Cedar Falls Park, as well as for extensions to the Campus Recreation Trail and the Pritchard Branch Trail. The Council Naming Committee recommends naming the building and installing commemorative markers to honor the memory of Bill and Peggy Britt.
