As the request is to place a private easement on Town property, the Council must approve or deny this request.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT*
Property Owners will be building a new single-family home at 416 Morgan Creek Road. Adjacent to the lot is a property owned by the Town, also known as 'Merrit's Pasture'. On the Town's lot is an Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) public sanitary sewer main. The property owner has requested a private easement to be placed on the Town's property to connect to the OWASA sewer main. The Town's Public Works Department doesn't have a problem with the Town agreeing to this private easement.
