Overview: We are opening the public forum for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program so the Council can receive comments from the public to guide the development of goals and funding priorities for the CDBG program plan. The Town of Chapel Hill receives an annual allocation of CDBG funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address community development and affordable housing needs. The Town must submit the plan to HUD by May 17, 2023.
Recommendation(s):
That the Council receive comments on housing and community development needs for the annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program plan.
