SUBJECT: Recommendation for Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board vacancies

DATE: May 24, 2023


RECOMMENDATION: The Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board (Board) met on Tuesday May 23, 2023 and agreed unanimously to make the following recommendations for reappointment and appointments to the Town Council for its consideration:

* Janet Clarke, Reappointment, UNC Employee
* Linda Sanders, Appointment, Commercial Property Member
* Audrey Britton, Appointment, Town Resident
* Paxton Ramsdell, Appointment, Town Resident

SPECIAL REQUEST(s): None

BACKGROUND: Board members stated that Ms. Clarke's experience and continuity as a Board member are valued assets to the Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board and the Board recommends her reappointment.

The Board invited applicants to its meetings as an opportunity to meet and talk with them. Ms. Sanders' business experience and volunteer work with the Town will offer strong benefits to the Board. Both Ms. Britton and Mr. Ramsdell have considerable direct work experience related to stormwater management that will provide beneficial skills to the Stormwater Management Utility Advisory Board.
Board members thought Mr. Anderson had good qualifications and would encourage him to reapply for future vacancies on the Stormwater Advisory Board
