Overview: This item provides an overview of the Human Services Advisory Board's recommended funding plan for the additional $28,691 that the Town Council approved in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget for the Human Services Program and the reallocation of $6,000 awarded to the Art Therapy Institute. This item also provides a brief update on the implementation of the racial equity assessment of the Human Services Program completed in the fall of 2022.
Recommendation(s):
That the Council adopt the recommended funding plan, consistent with the Human Services Advisory Board's recommendation.
Overview of Recommended Funding Plan: When the board made their initial recommendation, they identified agencies that they would have liked to fully fund and prioritized those agencies for this additional amount of funding. The HSAB recommends allocating the $34,691 to the agencies listed below.
