Overview: The Town provided notice to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to take public comment concerning the Town’s proposal to enter into an economic development agreement. The Town has made a tentative conclusion that entering into the agreement will increase the Town’s taxable property, employment, and business prospects. Staff needs to continue negotiations before holding the public hearing.

A RESOLUTION CONTINUING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ROSEMARY REDEVELOPMENT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT TO JUNE 17, 2020 (2020-06-10/R-6)
WHEREAS, the Town provided notice to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to take public comment concerning the Town’s proposal to enter into an economic development agreement. The Town has made a tentative conclusion that entering into the agreement will increase the Town’s taxable property, employment, and business prospects; and
WHEREAS, the Town Staff needs to continue negotiations before holding the public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council continues the public hearing to the Council’s June 17, 2020 meeting, at 7:00 p.m.
