Council may make appointments to fill the four empty seats on the Community Design Commission (CDC). Staff recommends that Council review the recommendation and vote.

LEGISLATIVE CONTEXT*
Town Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, Article 8.5. describes the Community Design Commission, and the Advisory Board Membership Policy describes the appointment process.
TRADEOFFS, ALTERNATIVES, IMPACTS
The Community Design Commission has not been able to meet due to the lack of members on the board. Filling a seat will give them enough members to have quorum and to conduct business. A primary commission task is to review and approve or deny certificates of appropriateness as to the aesthetic quality of exterior architectural features and accessory utility features in the Blue Hill District. They must act within a period prescribed by the provisions in 3.11.4.7. The staff expects a Blue Hill District application.
