STAFF RECOMMENDATION*
Staff recommends that Council approve the FY2026 Percent for Art (PFA) Plan (attached), which includes $62,000 for on-site projects and $19,000 for repairs on the Bolin Creek Greenway due to Tropical Storm Chantal damage.

Section 3. Selection of Sites and Projects for Percent for Art Annually.
The Council shall decide annually which capital budgets shall include 1% or another amount for public art, and on which sites the artwork should be located.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT*
The Town Council created the Percent for Public Art Program in 2002. The projects outlined in this proposal fit the PFA requirements and provide opportunity to repaint 12 public artworks along Bolin Creek Greenway that are damaged by Tropical Storm Chantal.
FUNDING IMPACT*
One percent of all appropriations for Capital Improvement Projects shall be directed to the Town's Percent for Art Program, except cost of land acquisition, grant funds for which the Town provides a local match, bond funds which do not allow such a use, and any other funds whose source prevents their use for public art.
Town staff will review all capital projects during the annual budget development process and designate projects as eligible or ineligible for the Percent for Art program.
