LEGISLATIVE CONTEXT*
In December 2024, the Council voted to offer the position of Interim Manager to Mary Jane Nirdlinger and to authorize the Town Attorney to negotiate a contract with Ms. Nirdlinger within certain parameters. This resolution is to formalize the employment of Ms. Nirdlinger as Interim Manager.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT*
The Town Council have selected Mary Jane Nirdlinger to serve as Interim Town Manager effective January 1, 2025 , with a salary of $237,500. These and other terms and conditions are set forth in the Contract brought forth for approval by Council as part of this Agenda item.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTRACT OF INTERIM TOWN MANAGER MARY JANE NIRDLINGER (2025-01-15/R-3)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council hereby approves the Contract of Interim Town Manager Mary Jane Nirdlinger and authorizes the Mayor to execute the Contract, as described in the January 15, 2025 meeting materials, on behalf of the Council.
