Recommendation: |
That the council receive a report on how the Town staff are moving forward with a constructed wetland at the Legion Property to replace the current pond.
Key Issues:
• To support affordable housing on the Legion Property, the existing pond and dam must be replaced.
• The Town’s engineering consultant and staff have determined that a constructed wetland is the best path forward to meet Town interests on the site.
Fiscal Impact/Resources: The Town’s engineer will continue designing the constructed wetland and seek approvals and permits from governing agencies, all of which is included in our current contract costs. Construction of the constructed wetland will be funded through stormwater funds.
