Overview: On October 24, 2018, the Town Council adopted a resolution establishing the Varsity Theatre Task Force with Council Members Rachel Schaevitz and Michael Parker appointed as Task Force Co-Chairs. The Task Force's charge was to consider the possible use of the Varsity Theatre at 123 East Franklin Street as a community performing arts center. The purpose of this item is to provide the Council with the Task Force's findings and recommendations, which are included in the attached report.
Recommendation(s):
That the Council adopt the resolution to accept the Task Force's report, authorize the Town Manager to consider next steps, and dissolve the Task Force.
