Development regulations adopted under the Town’s planning and zoning authority must be adopted by ordinance. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 160D-601.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT*
We released the first public draft of the updated LUMO in July and expect to begin the official legislative process in October. This meeting is an opportunity for Council to discuss the draft and hear from staff and members of the public before the start of the official legislative process.
COMPLETE COMMUNITY CONNECTION
The LUMO Update is an opportunity to implement various elements of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, with the Complete Community Strategy at the forefront.
