STAFF RECOMMENDATION*
That the Council adopt the attached resolution amending the December Work Session and establishing the Council calendar through June 2025.

Council must approve or reject the proposed Calendar of Council Meetings through June 2025.
LEGISLATIVE CONTEXT*
The Town Charter <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances> and the Town Code <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances> state that the Council shall fix suitable times for its regular meetings. Adopting the calendar establishes Regular meetings, Work Sessions, and other meetings.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT*
The staff requests that the December 4 work session be moved to another date to accommodate the availability of a presenter.

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A CALENDAR OF COUNCIL MEETINGS THROUGH JUNE 2025 (2024-11-13/R-5)
WHEREAS, the Town Charter <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances> and the Town Code <https://library.municode.com/nc/chapel_hill/codes/code_of_ordinances> state that the Council shall fix suitable times for its regular meetings; and
WHEREAS, the Council wants to conduct a Work Session on December 2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council adopt the following meeting schedule for January through June 2025.

2 It is anticipated that the Council will go into closed session, as authorized by North Carolina General Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(6) to discuss a personnel matter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council amends its 2024-25 meeting calendar as follows:
• Add the December 2, 2024 Work Session meeting to start at 6:00 p.m. in the Library, Meeting Room B, 100 Library Drive, Chapel Hill NC 27514.
• Remove the December 4, 2024 Work Session Meeting.
