Overview: In November 2022, Town staff began the process to update the Town’s Affordable Housing Plan to set a path forward for the Town’s affordable housing efforts over the next five years. This item is designed to provide an update to Town Council on our progress towards developing that plan and receive input from the community and Council on potential strategies. The Town’s selected consultants, HR&A Advisors will present an overview of their work to date and potential policy, program, and investment options that could be included in a Draft Affordable Housing Plan.

|
Recommendation(s): |
That the Council provide feedback on progress to date and potential strategies to be incorporated in the Draft Affordable Housing Plan.
Project Timeline:
Since the Town has a strong foundation on which this Plan can be created, including robust data and many existing strategies and plans, and the urgency of the need, staff have proposed an ambitious timeline to deliver the Affordable Housing Plan by summer of 2023.
